2026 Kool April Nites Vendor Information & Rules

Please read carefully. These rules are enforced.


1. Booth & Tent Safety (This Is Mandatory)

If you bring any of the following:

  • Pop‑up
  • Tent
  • Canopy
  • Tables
  • Chairs
  • Displays
  • Merchandise

Everything MUST be secured (tied down, weighted, or strapped). You are 100% responsible for any damage your booth or equipment causes to:

  • Other vendors
  • Show cars
  • People
  • Property

2. Insurance Requirements (NO Insurance = NO BOOTH)

Who Needs Insurance

  • ALL food vendors
  • ALL regular (merchandise) vendors

What You Must Provide

  • Your own liability insurance
  • Kool April Nites must be listed as “Additional Insured”
  • A NEW Certificate of Insurance is required EVERY year

Minimum Coverage

  • $1,000,000 CSL

Certificate Must List EXACTLY:

 The “Additional Insured” box MUST be checked (X or Y)
 If not checked, your insurance is INVALID.

3. Vendor Show Hours (Civic Auditorium)

  • Friday, April 24: 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM
    (Soft opening – all setups must be complete by 4 PM)

  • Saturday, April 25: 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM

  • Sunday, April 26: 8:00 AM – 1:00 PM


4. FOOD VENDORS – READ THIS CAREFULLY

Before You Apply

 DO NOT submit a food vendor application until you contact:
 vendors@koolaprilnites.com

 Space is limited. Returning food vendors get priority.


Food Waste & Recycling (REQUIRED)

New California recycling rules apply.

 Email the Vendor Coordinator for details:

Food Vendor Fees

  • Prepared food vendors: $375 flat fee
  • Drink‑only vendors: $150 flat fee per site

 Applications Dead Line: Monday, March 16th, 2026


Power Requirements

 ALL food vendors must supply own power.


Ice Service (Yes, We Got You Covered)

KAN provides ice delivery:

  • Two staff members on a golf cart
  • Flag them down or go to Kool Corner
  • Tell them:
    • How much ice you need
    • Your booth location
  • Sign delivery tag
  • Settle payment at end of day

5. MERCHANDISE VENDORS

Booth Fees

  • 10’ x 10’ space: $200
  • Each additional 10’: $100

 Large rigs (over 10’ wide or deep):
Contact Vendor Coordinator BEFORE applying

 Includes 2 all‑access passes per 10’ x 10’ booth
Need more passes? Talk to the Vendor Liaison.


6. APPLICATION DEADLINES

  • Online applications close: March 16th, 2026
  • After that, email vendors@koolaprilnites.com to check availability

 Booths are first come, first served

  • Returning vendors & car‑related vendors get priority
  • If you had a booth last year, you MUST confirm by January 1
  • No confirmation = your space may be reassigned

7. SET‑UP, TEAR‑DOWN & CHECK‑IN

 KAN is run by volunteers. We do NOT help with setup or teardown.

 NO UNMANNED BOOTHS — EVER

Vendor Check‑In

  • Wednesday 4/22/26: By appointment only
  • Thursday 4/23/26: 9 AM – 5 PM
  • Friday 4/24/26: 9 AM – 3 PM
    (After 3 PM = appointment only)

 ABSOLUTELY NO SATURDAY SET‑UP
Saturday is for registered show cars only


Tear‑Down

  • Sunday 4/26/26: 12 PM – 2 PM
  • ALL vendors must be off Civic property by 2 PM

 If leaving Saturday:

  • You CANNOT break down before 4 PM
  • NO EXCEPTIONS

8. LOAD‑IN RULES (READ THIS)

  • Vendors parking “Under the Bridge”:
    • Enter from Hotel side
    • Park at curb on right‑hand side only
  • DO NOT double park
  • DO NOT block lanes
  • Left lane must stay open for:
    • Police
    • Fire
    • EMT
    • Ambulances

9. CITY & STATE REQUIREMENTS

City of Redding Temporary Business License

 City Clerk’s Office: (530) 225‑4056
 Starts at $13.50 (may be higher for some businesses)

 City Clerk’s Office is closed every other Friday


California Sales Tax (Merchandise Vendors)

 You MUST have a California Sales Tax Number (Resale #)
Apply 2–4 weeks in advance

10. SECURITY & EMERGENCIES

  • Vendor load‑in begins Wednesday
  • 24‑hour security will be on site
  • You MUST provide:
    • Booth contact name
    • Cell phone number
    • Text‑enabled number

If there’s an issue, security contacts the Vendor Director, who contacts YOU.
